Sandy Lake is spring-fed, quite shallow, and has a white sandy bottom (hence the name Sandy Lake). What makes Sandy Lake so unique is its clarity and colour. On a sunny day, the water is a turquoise colour – you’d think you were in the Caribbean! Also, since the lake is shallow, it’s great for kids and warms up very early in the season. Great swimming. The sandy area is great for kids and slopes to approx. four feet deep at the end of the dock.
