Cottage 762 Cameron Lake
Property Description
This Ontario cottage rental is located on Cameron Lake, only a 10 min. walk from Fenelon Falls for all your needs. The interior features an open living room with two bedrooms behind, kitchen to the side and a sunroom on the lakeside. The cottage itself is built close to the lake for beautiful views! There is a third bedroom in the upstairs loft with two windows and a fan; the ladder/step is steep and it is permanently placed-see pictures. There is also a p/o queen sofa bed in the sunroom. A large deck overlooks the lake and there is also a large deck/dock over the water. The water is a sandy shallow entry and slopes to approx.. 3.5 feet at the end of the dock. At the back of the cottage, across the cottage road is the old railway tracks that have been converted into a walking and biking trail that goes for miles in each direction. You can walk right into town for ice cream!
This is a beautiful location with beautiful views, close to amenities in which to enjoy cottage country!
Note from cottage owner: The bottom is sand + some rocks. There are not a lot of rocks. You can walk out with no problem. The rocks are spaced here and there. As far as weeds go – last year there were none.
I know if you go out 60-70′ from the dock you can run into some…on the bottom. Not sure how high they come up but again few and far between and mostly on the bottom. Off the dock, you can go out 20-30 feet or so before it gets to 4-5 feet deep.
We just got back from an amazing week at this cottage! The cottage is in an excellent location. I walked the walking path with my dog every morning. The locals are kind and welcoming. The cottage is located on a nice little bay of Cameron Lake so you don’t experience a lot of boat traffic. The sunset views are amazing. We all enjoyed swimming in the shallow sandy beach. I do still recommend water shoes because of the shells from the zebra muscles that can’t be avoided. Although the cottage is small, it is set up so it doesn’t feel that way. Our girls age 8 & 11 enjoyed sleeping in the loft upstairs. My brother in law slept comfortably in the pullout couch and enjoyed the lake breeze coming in the sunroom. The beds in the 2 main bedrooms are new and very comfortable.
As a dog owner… the part I loved the most is how dog friendly the cottage is. The small touches such as the couch blankets and the deck gate were appreciated.
Even though we received detailed directions on how to get to the cottage, my only complaint is that it was still tricky to find because the street isn’t marked with a name.
Also a side note-the cottage advertised a kettle, but when we arrived, there was not one. We purchased our own for the week, but I thought I would pass on this info.
As soon as we can, we will definitely book next year. We absolutely fell in love!
