Cottage 645 White/Dummer Lake
Property Description
This Ontario cottage rental is located on White Lake (formerly named Dummer Lake) approximately 15 minutes from the village of Lakefield. The pine and cedar interior features an open kitchen, eating and living area. The kitchen has been newly renovated. There is a deck to the one side of the cottage and on the other there is a screened-in porch. The cottage is built close to the water and the lot from the cottage to the lake is generally flat. The water entry is approx. 1 foot deep at entry with a sand bottom along with some rocks and slopes to approximately 3 feet deep at the end of the 20 foot dock. The bottom from the shore out about 40 to 50 feet is sandy and clay and at 40 to 50 feet is about 6 feet deep, so you can walk out a good distance, and then swim 10 to 15 feet to the swim raft . The drop off after that is relatively steep.The swim raft is positioned on the drop off out another 10 to 15 feet, with an anchor chain of roughly 20 feet to the bottom.
This is a nice spot to relax and read or go for a canoe ride or to just sit and enjoy the evenings in the screened-in porch close to the lake.
