You and your loved ones will have an incredible vacation enjoying the natural splendors of the iconic Stoney Lake. Whether you choose to take in the stunning views from the dock, cool off in the refreshing water, curl up with a book in the screened in porch, or count the stars late at night by the fire pit…it’s up to you, it’s your vacation. All of this and much more is at the tip of your finger.
This charming three season island cottage includes three bedrooms, plus Bunkie (separate sleeping cottage) and comfortably sleeps a total of 11. The 3 piece bathroom has all the comforts of home and the open concept living room with fireplace, dining room and kitchen offers stunning views no matter where you turn. If fishing is a highlight for you, Stoney Lake has some of the best known fishing in the area and specializes in Pickerel, Bass and Muskie. The large deck on the front of the cottage overlooks the sparkling lake and along the side of the cottage there is a roomy screened in porch to enjoy once you’ve gotten enough sun for the day.
The 180” of waterfront includes a fire pit, hammock, play structure and large dock perfect for tying up the boats, lounging in the Muskoka chairs or diving in to the water. For the younger or more timid swimmers there is a small sandy entrance to the side of the docks.
Everything you need is already here! The newly renovate (2014) kitchen includes fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, quality cookware, dishes and cutlery. For entertainment there are books, games, new LED TV, DVD player with dozens of movies, canoe and outdoor play set.
The swimming area is from the shallow beach area to the area at the end of the dock. You can walk out 60 feet in weedless water to a 4′-5′ swimming area at the end of the dock, after that it is weedy. It is gravel and sand from the beach to the end of the dock. You can boat out and cruise among the over 1100 islands of Stoney Lake and other nearby attractions including 3 different restaurants within a short boat ride. The owner will meet with you to show you how to get to the island and there is 1 car parking spot included in the rental.
Note, renters will need their own boat to get between the marina and the cottage. If you do not have your own boat the marina (Carveth’s Marina www.carvethsmarina.com) offers a water taxi’s every day between 9:00am – 6:00pm at $12.00 per trip.
