    Property Description

    From cottage owner:
Northern Ontario cottaging at its most private! This location is the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy nature at its most peaceful while living with all the creature comforts of home. With 21 acres of private forest and 1,400 feet of natural shoreline and a private .9km drive to the main cottage, this is a sanctuary.
Expanded and fully redecorated in 2011, Fox Pointe is located on popular Lake Manitouwabing, approximately 10 minutes from the Town of McKellar and 25 minutes from Parry Sound. It features 2400 sq. ft. of living space on 2 floors with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a large screened in Muskoka Room for enjoying those warm summer evenings or (heaven forbid) those occasional rainy days.
The large lower level family room boasts a walkout to a 850 sq foot patio and the upper floor living area is surrounded with extensive decks looking out at the water, docks and forest. Both living spaces feature large screen satellite TV and music systems each. The interior is bright, well appointed and comfortable with hardwood floors throughout the upper floor and carefree ceramic on the main floor. A vaulted ceiling in the upper living room sets off the two leather sofas and wood burning stove. Garden doors from both the newly renovated kitchen and master bedroom provide easy access to the large decks and 8 person coastal spa hot tub! A bar with fridge on the lower family room level provide overflow space or the option of separate areas for two families.

The landscaping at the front of the cottage features three expansive levels with relaxed access to the lakefront. A 10×20 cedar dock, a waterfront fire pit with seating and pathways around the waterfront to various seating areas overlooking the lake provide ample locations to enjoy the lake, throw in a fishing line or just watch the kids play in the water. The large dock is accessed by a 35 x6 access dock for docking your boat and the water is a shallow rock/pebble entry with some sandy/clay areas and slopes to deeper water further out. There is deeper water swimming with a rock entry on the river side of this large property.
The landscaping at the side features a grassy area leading to a restful 20×20 hollow to enjoy the trees and dream about nature. At the back of the cottage you will find parking for up to 6 vehicles comfortably and a very large grassy area perfect for that game of badminton or catch.

A large barbeque offers the option of cooking outdoors with relaxed seating for 3 to keep the master chef company in the grill zone. Further along the front decks, tabled seating for 6 can be expanded to accommodate 10 people for that outdoor feast. On the main patio there is tabled seating for 4 with various chaises and benches for relaxing, reading that book or that outdoor party.
When you want to enjoy the other attractions in the area, restaurants, shopping, a championship golf course and boat rental are all a short drive away. The country roads are well paved and excellent for relaxed or determined cycling.
With 21 acres and 1400 feet of shoreline, this is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy cottage country in a private, comfortable setting!
